RAL quality mark

Highest Emission Class Rating

The tests for categorisation in the German Furniture Quality Assurance Association’s emission classes provide a high level of assurance that defined pollutants produce no adverse effects on health.

Our kitchen furniture has been awarded the highest emission class A and, in some cases, provides consumer protection far beyond the legal stipulations.

On the basis of existing RAL certifications, the RAL quality mark “Furniture – circularly sustainable” draws together all previous DGM requirements for the sustainability of furniture, complements them in the area of the obligation to provide evidence, and thus creates transparency in the implementation of legal and market-related requirements.

All requirements are aligned with recognized sustainability goals.

Strict standards apply in particular in the areas of circular economy, resource efficiency, ease of repair, and the recycled content of the materials and packaging used in furniture production.

Furthermore, energy-saving measures and social standards must be observed. This applies both at the company’s own location and to the supply chain.

“Golden M” Quality

The “Golden M” quality mark is an award for tested furniture that meets stringent criteria in terms of quality, safety and health/environmental protection.

The “Golden M” is awarded by the German Furniture Quality Assurance Association (DGM) which, as the RAL Quality Association, performs an important function: to ensure the quality of furniture and enhance consumer protection. To receive the quality seal, furniture manufacturers must meet very high requirements.

The “Made in Germany” label guarantees that the majority of manufacturing process relevant to quality takes place in Germany. The guarantee of origin is synonymous with an exceptional ingenuity, durability and a healthy home environment. The demanding criteria ensure a high standard of quality since furniture design, assembly and quality testing are activities that are carried out entirely in Germany. All requirements are aligned with recognized sustainability goals.

The requirements have been laid down by the German Institute for Quality Assurance and Certification (RAL) in a ‘Quality Basis’ monitored by the German Furniture Quality Association (DGM).Furthermore, energy-saving measures and social standards must be observed. This apples both at the company’s own location and to the supply chain.
